A little over 5 minutes into the 2nd period, the Devils are on the PK. Martin Brodeur clears the puck from behind his net up the boards and past the Dallas point man(w/ help from Claude Lemieux) and Jay Pandolfo chases down the puck and forms a 3 on 1 with Lemieux and Scott Niedermayer. Pandolfo tucks a pass to Lemieux who tips it to Niedermayer who moves in alone on Ed Belfour and is able to score to put the Devils up 1-0! His 2nd shorthanded goal of the playoffs

what an underrated play by Claude Lemieux...he played possibly the biggest role in making sure the Devils were able to celebrate their 2nd cup in 2000.
