(1/4) PERFECT MAN There are two versions of this performance: One version had better resolution and the other had more full-body camera angles. I couldn't choose which one to post, since it's rather rare for there to be 'full-body' camera angles in kpop and you get to see a lot more than you would in regular music shows. Unfortunately, the sound is really bad here. In the end, I combined both ^_^ =================================
There are quite a few covers of Shinhwa's Perfect Man. Somehow, something always feels a little off; like cake without the icing. Some people blame it on vocals, power, energy, etc., but I find those are rarely the problem. Groups covering Shinhwa songs usually have pretty good vocals, energy, etc. I think the major difference is that they lack Shinhwa's detail: where to be powerful, where to be gentle, where to give a extra pop, where to relax themselves, where to interact with the audience, where to interact with each other, when to step back and when to take the spotlight. I think most groups either don't bother or don't have time to study an actual Shinhwa performance. Obviously, each person's set of 'details' is different, but, again, due to the lack of time or because they don't bother to, they don't know how to incorporate their own feelings into their cover performances.
Like someone can teach you how to draw, but they can't really~ teach you how to draw. Know what I mean? Every performer should have his own special touch.
indeed a perfect man in my life, SHINHWA hwaiting

thanks for the video..yes, i agree with you.for example, when shinee do cover on wild eyes, teen top and snsd on TOP, i find it weird, eventhough they are pretty talented. i can't stop comparing to the original one. anyway, only shinhwa can sing their song better..

I think another reason is that Shinhwa members each have their own way of performing and when you add it together, you have something just so unique to them that no one really can ever be able to imitate. Its like when you see idol groups nowadays, its usually they very awesomely dance in the background whilst the person sings in front but all they do is just stand and sing. But for Shinhwa, the person singing does more than that...does that make sense?
But yea THANKS FOR THE VIDEO :D
