Part two in our bicycle maintenance video series sponsored by River City Bicycles covers Brake Pads. Doug Moak takes us step by step as he cleans and adjusts caliper style brakes on a commuter bicycle.

We hope you find these videos helpful and will let us know what you would like to see next. As usual we are always interested in your video responses.

  • can u make a video about disc brakes."How to tighten or loosen disc brakes"

  • Sorry, I don't have any experience with that but you should check your local bike shop. If you are simply speaking of adjusting the break line tension there should be a hand adjuster at the hand brake or near the end of the cable.

Good luck. Please let me know what you found out.

  • i broke some spokes riding in the Mts on the desecnt. any suggestions for repair?

  • If your wheel is not ruined you can put in new spokes. If you have never done it before you'll want to have someone help show you how to get the right sized spokes in the right place. Or you can wing it.

  • omg - it's the badguy from "No country for old men" :-) great vid...

  • I've heard that before so I made a video about that
