  • @thEmAddrshOck Hmmm interesting, well the new age trap is pretty infectious. It's a loooooong road to recovery, it's to be excepted for there to be road blocks and highway-men along the way.

  • @qualqui Ah but as long as we cling to the colonial mentality and the ladino distrusts the indio and vice-versa there can be no resurgence :(

  • @thEmAddrshOck You raised a good point. It's obvious that nobody reads The Florentine Codex to see the documentation of what people wore or sang. It's just a bunch of New Agers promoting New Age ideas. Most people are lazy and ignorant. They don't read or study or think. They want everything easy without having to study.

  • @thEmAddrshOck Let an outsider tell it from some phonie books by white people...And you'll get one hellavuh fish story.

  • @iiwolves I'm not talking about the Nahuatl in the video, I'm talking about what's often plugged as Nahua religion in North America, which is totally different from what actual Indios do. It also offends a lot of other Indians. And no, the only time the huehuetl should be sounded by itself is at dawn and dusk, for the official beginning and end of the day. That's pretty clear from Mexica sources. Oh, and thanks for demonstrating the ignorance I'm talking about. It's greatly appreciated.

  • @thEmAddrshOck Mexico is part of the falsely called land of "North America". And those were Nahuatl prayers. Wow, get some education. You can sure use some knowledge. The sacred huehuetl is appropriate just be itself without the tepnaztli, flutes, and what not. In other words, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD AND DO YOUR OWN FUCKEN NUMBER, BITCH!

  • Here's the things I don't get:. Rather than accepting their STILL SURVIVING Indio roots, why is it that some Mexicans insist on stealing North American traditions, such as translating Lakota prayers (poorly) into contemporary Nahuatl? Why do they preform dances of European origin in pseudo-Mexica regalia- regalia with none of the symbolism or ritual importance of that worn by the Mexica prior to the conquest? Why do they only use a huehuetl rather than a proper Mexica musical ensemble?

  • spanish is the language of the southern europeans. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but mexicans of aztec/mexicatl blood never spoke spanish in the beginning.

  • And the brainwashin' continues, like it isn't beautiful to be red or brown or to speak the language of your forefathers, so progress is usually associated with speakin' spanish(in mexico),.....hopefully this improve with the newer generations.
