badass...I just do the drum solo a different way...instead of using the crash for the first part...I use hi-hats(hit them, and then press with my foot)...I just can't nail the toms though...i'll get it...badass drumming man!
thanks ill try that. i can do it but just not as smoothly and every now and again i go half speed for half a measure just to make sure i dont cramp. its always when i play the next song i get cramps. maybe im just not very fast yet. ive only been playing 2 years. thanks again though!
I'm thinking you're probably just trying to propel your arms as fast as you possibly can at it, hoping to get the most sound you can from the drum. Its all in the wrist. Seriously, this is going to sound super nerdy, but go look up some videos of drum and bugle corps drumlines warming up in the parking lots. Look at their right hand technique. Thats similar to what you should be doing in that roll, less arm power and more wrist power. More relaxed. You'll be surprised at how easy it then.

hihats are totally cheating. if you hit the snare the first to times with ur right hand and choke the crash with ur right hand, its pretty easy
