@TheCrazyMachineRed Hey, what about a bid for the Olympic Winter Games from Kazahkstan in the future? I think it would be fantastic for Central Asia. 2018 will most probably go to Pyeongchang, South Korea. 2022 will be either Europe or North America's turn. Therefore Asia could stand a chance of hosting the games again in 2026, which will be chosen in 2019 with the bidding process starting in 2017, only six years after Almaty-Astana.
@darcidesouza Thanks for lyric,i really appreciate it.I hope i can sing this song at world cup in 2014.You can wait my support to Brazil in cup and 2016 at Rio de Janeiro.
@TheCrazyMachineRed Once we are talking about sports and Olympic games, I've just remembered that Almaty and Astana are scheduled to host the 2011 Winter Asian Games. Is that right? How are the preparations for the games going?
@TheCrazyMachineRed By the way, there goes the translation for the main refrain of this samba:
Explode coração, na maior felicidade
É lindo meu Salgueiro, contagiando e sacudindo esta cidade!
My heart explodes with such unrestrained happiness
It's beautiful to see my Salgueiro ravishing and shaking this city!
Well, I think the reason why the Rio Olympic bid committee chose that samba to celebrate is quite obvious now: our Brazilian hearts did explode on that day!
@TheCrazyMachineRed You're welcome. Another information: the real name of that samba-enredo is "Peguei um Ita no Norte", which roughly translates as "I took a boat trip from the north shore". It tells the story of a young man from the northern state of Pará who migrates to southern Brazil in order to attempt to achieve a better life in a richer region of the country. During the trip, he enjoys the landscapes of other states such as Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco. And he eventually reaches Rio!
@TheCrazyMachineRed I see you are from Kazakhstan (I love the flag of your country, it's among the most beautiful ones in the world). I would only like to add that "Explode Coração" was not created for Rio Olympic bid; in fact, it dates back to 1993, when it was a huge success in famous Rio Carnival samba schools competition. The Samba school Salgueiro paraded with that song and was elected Carnival champion in that year. A song a samba school parades with is called "samba-enredo".
