TomTom iPhone 3GS App Overview - 17th August 2009

I purchased the TomTom app, the minute it was released (12 midnight). I've been playing about with it for an hour or two and must say - I am impressed. Hope you enjoy it. Feel free to ask any questions in the comment box. I think its competitively priced, considering that Navigo is priced at around about the same price... TomTom have done well to price it similarly.

how does it work? i mean the billing? if it doesnt use your internet, am i to understand as soon as you purchase the app, the navigation is free?

@TheDjBrynny all you need to do is purchase the app. Thats it. No charges after it. Works off the GPS built in to the iPhone, no costs associated with the GPS.

you need to do a road test. i heard it sucks on the road. that is gives late instruction. and is somewhat slow and if you get a call u have to restart it

@productfeedback yes it uses internet for Assisted GPS - downloads the list of satellites that are flying above your phone to get a lock on your location faster, the lists are small like maybe 10KB at max. although you may disconnect data on your iphone so it uses "cold" GPS but then it will take a bit longer to locate you
