Tri-Square eXRS radios. 900MHz spread spectrum frequency hopping radios. Feature digital encryption and allow for short text messages to be sent. Great for use in areas where FRS and GMRS frequencies are overused by people.

  • Yes, great radios that sometimes lose sync. If they are powered up together they seem to stick together. It would take a three letter agency and or a smart tech to decrypt these. There is a small engineering "flaw" that keeps the cost down that could be exploited, but you would still need to know what you are doing and have the right equipment to demodulate these. Then it would take time and knowledge. I like these.

  • They won't sync back thanks to Einstein!

I wonder if time dilation is problem.

  • Nice review nukedude on that radio-I actually have had the TSX100 with less features for over a year now.I am very happy with mine & distance seems really good in enclosed area like hotels & shopping malls then regular GMRS radios.I really think the plus for these radios is the privacy & secure communications you get with these radios. You would need some good equipment with plenty of knowledge or to be a 3 letter govt. agency to listen to your communications.
