A Dyslexic Brain Uses Five Times More Area to Read. Dyslexic people usually move their lips when they read because their brains compensate with the speech area.

  • This is based on the work done at Yale University by Dr. Sally Shaywitz. It is the scientific justification for allowing extra time during tests. However, I still think you are correct that many dyslexic people learn to read quite well. The larger point of the video is that many parts of the brain are engaged while a dyslexic person reads.

  • Yes, a bit boring for 44 seconds, but the intention is that it gives you enough time to think about what it means. :)

  • This isn't good at all not all dyslexics read at a slower pace than non-dyslexics. Dyslexia has many complex cases each has it's own different pattern of thought and ability please don't think they all can't read well-that's a myth.

  • i think 44 seconds was a bit much
