My Far Cry 2 walkthrough with commentary - 2nd APR mission, Act 2. On the way to pay a much needed visit to the weapon shop in the west sector, I commandeer a grenade launcher assault truck the hard way using only the USAS shotgun (typically a job for a good sniper rifle). Then it's payback time on a nearby guard post, pick up some diamonds adjacent to that and finally off to the weapon shop. At the weapon shop, I buy up a whole bunch of the remaining weapons, including the mortar which I equip in my next loadout. Then it's down to the Weelegol village area. Just before entering, I reveal a sneaky way to get some 'hang glider diamonds' without having to use the hang glider...

In act 1 I did all the buddy missions, and got the ammo pile and fuel, or whatever it is for the safe house, but now in act 2 they are not in any safe houses. :/

Do you know why ?

All the safehouse perks get taken away in Act 2 except for a small medkit. You have to do the buddy missions in Act 2 to get them back. But if you do all the buddy missions, the final perk you get in Act 2 is a grenade launching assault truck at every safehouse so it's worth it.
