Equity bank unveils 356 million bursary scheme

Equity Bank in partnership with MasterCard International has unveiled a 356 million shillings bursary scheme for needy students.The scheme will see bright but poor students from primary and secondary schools all over the country secure educational scholarships for their entire duration of their studies. The move is a bold step by the bank to try and fill a gap that is far from being addressed by the government.

The idea of Harambee is a good one. But it should be transparent. Money raised here should be accounted for to the penny. Who know the CEO of equity might eat some!
