@BSFLRT007 pink shows feelings while in the restroom or the auditoruim, violating one term of the wall around his heart, therefore, psychologically, he puts HIMSELF on trial

@friginator I never understood, he tears down the wall, and that shields him from reality? Shouldn't the wall be what's shielding him from reality? I don't get it.

@friginator You can kind of tell the difference of distance from Rogers mouth to Microphone too. just sayin

what a clean up thats got to be.....hehe

@friginator As a matter of fact, if you do hear a convincing "Live and real" crumbling sound, it will be better to run for your life...

I am so glad I own this on dvd. At least they recorded 2 shows of this historic tour. This is much better quality than the nyc
Wish they would have recorded 1 77 show.

Hey You, Another Brick In The Wall Part 2, The Happiest Days Of Our Lives, and In The Flesh are my favorite songs off of The Wall but The Trial TAKES THE CAKE!!!!
this is simply the record version!!

@MoveOverCasanova No, just the backing track is the same (until the guitar when "the Judge" appears, which is live), but the vocals are live. They did the same thing on "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2." They weren't allowed to have the kids' choir singing (for union purposes), so they simply used a backing track. Also, you can't really make a convincing crumbling sound live (for the Wall falling down), so that's prerecorded too. But this is true with (I believe) all live versions of the song.

What is the trial about?
BSFLRT007 1 year ago
@BSFLRT007 It's all in the mind of the main character, Pink. He's putting himself on trial mentally, with people from his past (His Teacher, his Wife and his Mother) coming back as memories to testify against him. At the end, he forces himself (through his subconscious, the imaginary "Judge") to tear down the mental "Wall" he's built around himself in an attempt to shield himself from reality.
