This years temporary train layout is no more. Our 6x10 layout operated with Two Freight trains and a Passenger train. Lionel New York and Penn Flyers and a Lionel Amtrak. There is an MTH bump and go trolley and the city scene included K-Line SuperStreets. The Layout used Fastrack powered by 4 Transformers including CW 80s, an LW and a TW. PW items include the Lionel 397 Coal Loader, a 193 Flashing Water Tower and a couple 6520 Searchlight cars.

This is a temporary model railroad Layout 6'x10' that sits on 3/8 plywood on a 1x2 frame. The frame is set on empty 5 gallon paint buckets. The only part of the Fastrack that is screwed down are the bumpers for the MTH bump and go Trolley. The layout is broken down completely and will be rebuild next winter, but will be different and possibly bigger.

Conventional power with toggle switches creates two separate power blocks. The Yard spur is block switched so an engine can be parked and a single train can operate on both inner and outer loops.

  • @yardlet6 I picked up the parts diagram online (PDF) and it looked as if they used that Alco FA with several different names

  • This is a great layout! I also have two questions: 1: What do you use for the grass? 2: What's the diesel passenger train on the bridge called?

  • @DralionROBLOX I picked up some astro turf from Home depot and put that on the board first. The Amtrak on the Bridge is from a Lionel set produced in the 1980s. I am not sure the engine type other than it being an ALCO

  • great job kid!

  • @josephnigito Thanks for watching. :)

  • @fm66504 I made it from two sheets sheets of plywoos cut at 4x6 and one cut at 2x6. I built a frame from 1x2s and bolted them together, then I placed it on 5 Gallon paint buckets to get it off the floors. Went to the fabric store and bought some felt for the skirt.

  • Where did u get the fabulous table please if I dont I'm ganna kill my self :/
