If you look up the word avatar, it comes from hinduism, a higher being that materializes into a physical body. The demon worshippers thus worship "evil" avatars/entities such as those mentioned in Book of Enoch, who descended down and commit evil. Kabbalah is one example of demon worship.
In one part of the movie I clearly remember that when the guy was introduced to the native clan, they first ridiculed him saying "he is not one of us...he is not a demon". Now i see why.

I reviewed the film only on the Promo Video as the video was not yet released and utilized Wikipedia for the names of the characters. To do a full review would make it a 5 hour documentary after having viewed it in it's entirety. Greg
