That might be because of the grade and poor running locomotives. There are some good grades south of Brewer and some good curves long the line as well.
Also GTI (aka PAR now) lets there equipment run way down to a point of almost breaking down so they need to run a lot more power than necessary.

Great video and very enjoyable. I wish I was there to see the train in person. I'm 4 hours or more south from Brewer in Mass.
The ROW looks like the rest of the PAR system with its crooked rails and slow speed.

awesome!

Nice vid, but hell, that's alot of power for a few wagons.
I wish we still had more local lines in the UK like we used to.

Awesome video with a great camera angle!

@pgo1972 Max...probably more like 15. Guilford/Pan Am isn't known for its track maintenance.

I have been trying to capture trains on this line for many months now... so far, I have not been successful. I wish I knew the time schedule so that would be easier to do.

Thanks for reminding me, I just capture another one and should post it. I don't know the times, but it seems Saturdays about 11 am is good, but don't quote me on that. I can see the bridge from Bangor to Brewer, if I leave at the right time as it's crossing, I can catch it in Brewer.
