Totally preposterous. Salley's right, the market determined his salary. A Rod didn't show up to the bargaining table and say "I want 10,000 TIMES as much money as everyone else". No, he showed up with market circumstances dictating how much he could ask for. The teams then agreed to pay for it. Anyone who gets any job should do the same. Make as much as you can. If my employer offers to double my salary I'm not going to turn it down, and neither would anyone else. It was a lot. So what?
