I agree but Jeet kune do is a combination of many arts that he studied so this part may have came from philippine martial arts called eskrima.

@towseef360 They were referencing Kali, a Filipino martial arts system that is utilized in Jeet Kune Do, as their techniques structure very effectively - both emphasize economy of motion, fluidity, and parrying/countering.
