Something about this late arriving "That's All" footage doesn't fit.....Jimmy Scalia, Steve Blauner, and/or the Darin estate would have known about it earlier, it seems to me....they are right on top of Bobby's stuff...

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your comment. This clip is from "The Dan Raven Show", a late fifties crime drama. Bobby appeared in one episode. The estate knows all about all of Bobby's television apprearances, including this one.

I copied down the singer's name and the song immediately after. Maybe I misheard, because the singer's rendering was decidedly more R&B than Mr. Darin's forays into Blue-eyed Soul.

Anybody's balladic version come to mind for you?

Most recently, Michael Buble did a ballad version. Mel Torme and Helen Reddy also come to mind as two who have done it in the original ballad style.

HELP! I've been trying to find a version of "That's All" by Darin for over ten years. It'sa slow, balladic rendering that's absolutely gorgeous.

Heard it ten years ago on an "Oldies" radio station and I've been haunted by it since.

Any help?

Are you sure that what you heard was Bobby Darin? This song is usually done as a ballad by other singers. I don't think that Bobby Darin ever did a ballad version of this song. I have four versions of the song in my collection-three live and the one from the "That's All" album. All are pretty much the same uptempo version that is on the album.

I understand there's a slower, ballad version version of this song on one of Mr. Darin's albums. I heard it once many years ago on one of the so-called "oldies" radio stations (to which I was listening at the grand old age of 30!!!). That version of this song was absolutely stellar. If anyone knows of it, please share.
