@viniciusb you realise of course that going to those countries means that they are supporting their economy....food accomadation travel etc.

Man, I always see this people in shows going to these poor places, they eat their food which is scarce to say the least, and I always wonder if they leave any money behind. If I were to guess, I'd say they don't.

They didn't mention it on here but Russ actually gave the guy on the bike (Jason Lewis) £1000 so he could carry on. He later got arrested in Egypt because they thought he was a spy. And he had to sneak past the border of China before all this. And he got hit by a car in the USA and broke both his legs. Pretty amazing guy!! You should read his blog about the whole thing.
