It seems that some people just don't fully understand the risks of not following the basic rules of diving. You're going into a place that your body wasn't designed to go into. The environment is doing things to you that would normally kill you. Even as a new diver, I check my gauges constantly, I'm obsessed with my depth, I want to know the water temp, how fast do I consume air, what's my EDT, how is my buddy doing, et cetera. If you're not concerned with those things; should you be diving?
It seems to me outside the US DM's are loosen up on the rules because I'm only OW certified and last year we went to Grand Cayman they only checked that I had a card then proceeded to describe how we were going on a wall dive to 100 feet. My wife interested we get a private DM which we did so we could stay with in our limits and not keep the rest of the group limited. We are headed to the keys tomorrow I'm sure it will be a lot tighter rules.
yes safediver2 but there are good scuba diving stories on the net. My favourite is the myscubastory site. They have accident stories, shark dive encounter stories, wreck discovery stories, and so on. THey have lots of videos on the previous topics too! Type myscubastory into google and its the first one. Enjoy

Wow, they were lucky that you took notice! I hope that dive master learned as big a lesson as those two should have.
