When it comes to Wall Street the Republicans protect their interest with all their might . However, when it comes to Main Street , they are missing in action . Not only are the Republicans missing in action but they try to stop Democrats from taking action to help Main Street ! That's just what Republican senator Jim Bunning is doing . Bunning has blocked Unemployment Benefits . By blocking this bill, Bunning also is blocking other Fed. programs as well like, COBRA and Medicare payments to doctors .Doctors have threatened that if their payments are cut off, they will turn away medicare patients . TheNations Chris Hayes talks about the bad ripple effect this will cause . It's funny how Republicans find their fiscally responsible religion when it's on the backs of the poor and suffering ? This was an emergency . We are still at the ends of a recession . If Bunning is for pay-as-you-go, why did he vote against the pay-as-you-go bill ? Why did Bunning vote for two Bush wars, tax breaks for the richest 1%, and a prescription drug plan, ALL UNPAID FOR ?

Instead of finding ways to raise the 10 billion dollars from within the budget for these benefits, congressional democrats wanted to BORROW the money and increase our debt more. They wanted a unanimous last minute vote, no roll call, no vote recorded. They knew this was coming up and did nothing to find the funds. If you were going to lose your car, would you look for the money in your own budget, cut things out you don't need to make payments, or would you borrow the money and owe more debt?
