I just don't understand this girl at all. First of all, she started out telling about her birthplace. "Thailand", she said. However, there are no specific details to that. Then she went on to tell about her MIX ETHNICITIES "1/2 Cambodian, 1/2 Thai". Is she ashamed of her Khmerness or something? She looks exactly Khmer and I bet her family speak Khmer. Her parents were KHMER REFUGEES in Thailand and she was born in the United Nations created refugee camp, period.

She khmer alright, but she was born during the war and was born as refugee in thailand. She don't remember much. That all she heard and think. She not being specific about it. She don't think about that much or pay to much attention to it that why she said wat she said to make it quick. Can't blame her. She probably 2 years old at that time.

I am not sure what the deal is with her lying about her age, but I am guessing it's because girls who are still trying to model beyond the age of 25 are considered "useless." Anyway, RE: her ethnicity, I don't know why she is lying about that either. She's VERY Cambodian. Her parents spoke it all the time, so did her sisters and brothers.

My family and I grew up with "Sunisa;" her parents and my parents were friends, so their kids and my siblings all hung out and got along. But yes, she is not 21. She is probably 31 or 32 by now. Her family is about as Cambodian as they can get -- I don't recall them ever mentioning anything about Thailand. It's entirely possible that they took refuge at a camp at the Thai border before coming to the US, but that does not mean she is Thai.
