@MoirBlaaaad those brass rings hold the end of the string in place at the tailpiece (although the bass in the video has a different type, he mentions it around 1:35). On the Jet King tailpiece, you feed the string up through the bottom of the tailpiece. You're kidding, right?

Ok, the first thing you do after changing your strings is look up 'Rufus Philpot bass solo' on YT and check the guy's basswork. Just outstanding.

I dunno why but i failed and got pissed.

What I didn't understand was the demonstrator awkwardly turning the peg head 100x to tighten the new string, while a peg head winder/wire cutter was sitting a foot away.

hey dude, i have an 'Ibanez Jet King Bass' and it has these, weird bronze o's at the end of the string's, and i have no idea how to change strings, but i was hoping you could help me out on how to deal with these strings, thanks.

Well done, man. The way you explain things is clear and concise, without being condescending nor overly technical. Favorited.

ok i got a problem I bought a new 5 string Bass (it's only a Harley Benton 5 Hotrod). i tried to tune it and every string tunes fine, but the D-String not. i only get an C not that normal D. Does it work if i put a half wind tight that i can tune it right? I hope you understand my terrible english and my problem and thank you :D

I had changed some bass strings before but had done it wrong. Changed my own today for the first time correctly because of your helpful video. Thank you.
