Pardon me for asking, but if you discovered the de facto president was usurping office, then would that constitute a priority, requiring you to place all other matters aside?

Isn't it the compelling urgency to defend the US Constitution by protecting the Executive Branch from being unconstitutionally occupied?

Does your ignorance of this crisis tell more about your failure to proceed in public office?

@borderraven Good post, Borderraven. As you can see, though, just like during the Clinto Impeachment, the RINOS want to "get back tot he People's business" as though following the law were some kind of distraction. They also pass the buck to the courts so they can avoid responsibility.

The immigration status of Obama Sr was in the same 08USC1101(a)(15) "non-immigrant" category as an ambassador, public minister, or career diplomatic or consular officer." See 08USC1101(a)(15)(A).

No, Obama is not NBC as he was born dual-citizen and cannot revert or change to NBC.

Specifically, what should one do when an individual stooge (or group of stooges) uses one of your public appearances to promote such a false claim? Educate them? Ignore them? Ridicule them? Humor them by playing along as if the lie has some validity?

@borderraven - So what? President Obama was born in Hawaii and subject to the jurisdiction of the United States at the time of his birth. His mother was an American citizen. His father was a resident alien. The father wasn't a diplomat, foreign head of state, or officer in an occupying military force. President Obama was "natural born", under current law and by the definition which existed when the US Constitution was ratified.

Two separate legally binding paths to separate nationalities in the same person, does not equate to a natural born citizen, if there is to exist in the USA, US Citizens and Natural Born Citizens. If Congress equated US Citizens and NBC as the same, then don't you think 8USC1405 would have declared all persons born in Hawaii to be NBC?

On 4Aug61 HI was territory under reciprocal British treaty signed by Pes Truman on 6Jun51. As such the 1948 British Nationality Act conferred UK citizenship by descent without registration. The circumstances of birth define the birth forever. The 14th Amendment defines US citizen, not nbc. So yes Obama was born a dual-citizen. US on mother's side, UK on dad's side. cont

You've failed to do your own homework on Minor v. Happersett and seem to be parroting the birther lie of the moment. How many birther lies have been spewed,over the last few years. "He was born in Kenya". "The COLB isn't a real birth certificate". "The COLB is a forgery". "The long form is a forgery". "He was adopted by Soetoro". "He went to college as a foreign student". "A US citizen couldn't travel to Pakistan in 1981". "He's a muslim".

@borderraven - You've shown your unwillingness to "buy" into reality. Natural born citizens may have dual citizenship, at birth, as a consequence of having a non-citizen parent. The citizenship status of President Obama's father was widely known, prior to the 2008 election. Birthers have embraced this 2 citizen parent theory after most Americans rejected their lies that the President was born in Kenya. You're entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.

Had Obama Sr, at least been a Permanent Legal Resident, domiciled in the USA, then I would stretch Obama's eligibility, but I cannot.
