I absolutely love this performance. I remember being transfixed by the way Ben Gibbard moved on the stage when I saw the original broadcast. I'm so glad to have found this here on You Tube.

@eliava1 So you like his voice because you think it's original or unconventional? I'm curious and trying to understand because as far as ability goes he sounds weak to me. I'm also a singer so maybe I'm more critical then the next person. Some of my favorite voices aren't what you would consider good but specific character makes them great. Like Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Lou Reed etc....

@screendrem I think he has a good voice; different and raw. It's not the same old re-packaged crap.

I like their music but just can't get over their singer's voice and how the singer of Owl city sounds like an even worse version of this guy. Great intro by lipton of course.

The guitar Chris is playing is a Vox Virage DC. The inlay on the headstock gives it away.
