  • Great tutorial dude, but I've gone through the Kp3's ext ctrl menu and enabled everything and It keeps saying "device not found" on the kp3 editor window, any ideas as to why this is?

    Thanks man. x

  • @pooisyummy1 Make sure you have installed the midi drivers for your KP3 from Korg's website and that you have rebooted after installation. I did this on a 32bit system, so if your using a 64bit vista / win7 I have not tried on those yet.

  • just don't brick it.

  • @zernestro If used the way it's suppose to be this should never happen. But I have seen a few people say they bricked theirs. Korg can fix, or replace them if this happens. (Free if under warranty)

  • Pretty sure it's not that expensive to "Brick it" because Korg is good about service charges for things like that. It's only expensive if you throw it in the garbage. Good video.. thanks for the demo of the config software.

  • @downwithdinosaurs Very true, but you know someone would brick it some how then whine because KORG wanted a reasonable fee to fix it. Personally I see all of my KORG devices as a good investment and they will never end up in the trash. I'd hang them from the christmas tree before that. :P

  • @222fakestreet 1. If you read the manual the KP3's secondary function is as a MIDI controller, so your comment made me laugh for a bit.

    2. Using it as audio input control will limit you to only being able to use the XY pad, which is not very useful in many cases.

    3. No one said anything about using it to scratch with, it is something you can play with but will not function as most real DJ's would expect.

    4. Posting rude and ignorant comments only makes you look like an idiot.

  • @squeezeyEz You can contact KORG support, they are very helpful and without being able to hook the kp3 to your computer your missing out on many great features of the kp3, such as loading new looks and changing configurations with the kp3 editor.

  • @pooisyummy1 Don't worry I've sorted it now,

and for those of you having this problem on a mac, just go into Audio Midi setup and open the midi window and just click on "Rescan" and It should sort it out

    Cheers! x

  • alright mate i'm jus having alot of trouble tryig 2 set the pad up dude so would really appreciate your help so could u inbox me cheers again:)

  • @jrichtman I just think it is funny that he or she has no clue how to use the word "than" correctly. It is "then" not "than" for what they were trying to say. Fakie..."than" refers to comparison there Webster.

  • Virtual Dj i mean !

  • Great thank you, but need to use with vdj is it posible ?
