When a contractor's jackhammer smashed through major fibre-optic and copper Telstra cables, businesses in the Sydney CBD's north-west quarter faced a potential telecommunications disaster.

But with practiced speed, efficiency and expertise, Telstra swung into action undertaking a massive and daunting repair job to ensure affected businesses spent not one minute longer than necessary without phones or internet.

  • It just goes to show when something goes wrong dont always blame telstra. As in this case it was not there fault.
