When you feel a very strong burst of emotion (such as happiness, anger, sadness, etc) your muscles will become weak and you will have no control over your body, thus ending up on the floor, collapsed. NARCOLEPSY is simply when you can fall asleep during any times of the day, no matter what you're feeling.

you are partly right. Narcolepsy is brought on by extrem emotions but it is also very easy for a narcoleptic to fall asleep even if he or she is not going through extreme emotions.
