@sciencenerd111 No It couldn't the compass doesn't do that at the north pole unless you move it around the pole, this requires movement, plus the magnet in the generator would confuse the magnet to point at it. Also the compass arms are very light and require very little force to move, so they could not turn a generator.
Please think these things through before you embarrass yourself.

problem: the poles can move up to 80 km a day, but normaly just 40 km a year.
the north pole have moved 1100 km i 100 years.
if you have a compass right on top of the pole it will point towards something made in metall and if you turn the compass 90 degrees it will point straight into the ground.
