My father was one of the German-American engineers who worked under von Braun, at Redstone, in Huntsville, Alabama, 1958-1966. My father was the head of the engineering department that designed the guidance systems for all defense missiles and manned space flights programs, under the direction of von Braun. I went to school and grew up with the kids of the former Nazi rocket scientists from Peenemünde. Konrad Dannenberg was our neighbor, as was von Braun & Walter Dornberger
