Hmm. I'm confused: how can the two notes on different strings 'sound the same'? Or does it have to sound similar... I should train my ears more.
-
how much costs your violin?

Um... Well I was looking for the lower octave on the G string, because my private lessons tutor told me the G was a G sharp, but my school orchestra teacher didn't tell me about that. I was wondering which one was right, because I couldn't find a video for the Lower Octave. Could you awnser my question? Is it supposed to be a G natural or a G sharp?

ok i understand but can you do another video focused on violin postions ex. 3rd 4th......
because, I was working on kreutzer 10 etude and i have a few trouble spots where the higher positions are

I'm glad to see you subscribe to the no-nonsense approach to theory. Very refreshing.

Very interesting Todd.
I hardly know about music notation, so this video helps me a lot.

oh ok thanks. I just bought my first violin and have been watching your videos. Keep up the good work and wish me luck
i thought E sharp = F and B sharp = C

Hi equlibrium06, They are the same note on a piano, but you'll need to think of them differently when it comes to key signatures and chords.

Hi 012dude, I'm attempting to fill in the gaps so more people can be involved and learn the violin. If the title says "Violin Method" it will have a different order than "Violin Lesson." Sorry if it's confusing and I hope that answers your question.
