  • @mrmott44 He was NEVER part of the 9/44 plot! And just because he wasn't member doesn't mean

that he wasn't a devoted national socialist! He had some arguements but he supported Hitler in

many ways. That's a fact and it's not so bad.His reputation will follow him forever anyway...without lies!

  • OccamRazraz....and you are an imbecile....Montogomery outnummberd Rommel by nearly 4x...Now tell me what would Montgomery doo if the situation was reversed.

I tell you what...He wouldew orderd a witdraw to China or immedietly surenderd...

But not Rommel...Rommel flew back sick from Germany and managed to stall Montgomery.Monty phoned Churchill and sayd that he might have to witdraw. It was then that Churchil sayd :Is there any General that can win a battle.

  • One tag is wrong!!! he was NOT a nazi!!

  • @MrPaulmancuso Ummm, I think that you are jealous.

  • I think that Hitler ordered Rommel's death not because he had the proof of his involvement in the conspiracy but because he did not denounce who proposed him to take part to it. Rommel had too much dignity to be an informer

  • come on... Does anybody know the name and artist of this song?????????

  • In Memory,of The Greatest Fieldmarchall,ever lived!

But why in hell that terrible music?

    Theres a german march,named " Unser Rommel"

  • TODAY is the 120º Aniversary of Rommel's Birth.

And we still talk about him, and will keep talking for years, decades and centurys. you know why? Because he wasnt just another one, he become a legend, and legends dont die!!!!

    Rest in peace, Generalfeldmarshall!!!

  • @ROMMEL951 he actually was directly involved in the plot. but considering his standing with hitler, he was given the option of suicide rather than public trial and execution. he was not a "dedicated national socialist", as you say, but a patriotic German and a great general who fought for his country, not the regime destroying it.

  • what is the song ?

  • Well Patton deserves respect...He did his homework before he went to war...But as for Patton fighting Afrika Corps on even terms...well I tend to disagree there...There was huge 8.army that allone outnummberd the entire German army in Africa...then there was the the 1.Army whit some French units and lastly there were many Us divisions that later becamme US 7.Army...so there is no possible way that it was on even terms...

  • @Sveles25 I agree with you about Monty, and everyone else on the Allied side - except Patton. He took on the Afrika Corps at a 1 - 1 ratio, thinking Rommel was in command (turned out Rommel was in Berlin sick. Patton was most disappointed.) Also, Patton's 3rd Army repeatedly took on German forces of equal strength and whipped 'em, to the point where that army killed, wounded, or captured somewhere around 10 times the Germans that it had. Hell, the Russians needed 5-1 advantage to attack.
