@chalupa9999 actually no its not ur property once its in the trash. supreme court said so in the 80's otherwise cops couldn't take evidence from it. Once its in a can outside on streets its fair game. That's y u shred documents, if a dumpsters on private prop. That's different but its called trespassing not stealing.
