I saw them at the Ivanhoe theater on the north side of Chicago in 75' and saw DI Meola at the uptown theater in Chicago in 79' doing his stuff! I play guitar and was blown away! Al has defiantly been a huge influence on my playing style.love the Spanish/classical/rock/fusion influences that he combines to create his own unique style and sound.thanks Al!

The troubles with the moog just illustrate that whatever happens, the show must go on! I could see occasional twinkles in the eyes of the other musicians that indicated they knew Chick was struggling, but they just carried on, knowing that he would carry his own part professionally somehow. That's live music for you. Anything can happen. I'm sure there were heavy discussions with the techies after the show!

The continuation of soul via instrument. Honest music made by legitimate musicians. This magic has all but changed it's season, only to be rejuvenated by the blessed and introspective. If only this were popular, without being taboo. Then maybe we would be without such blasphemies as Lady Gaga.
