I'm guessing Leonard Cohen was not aware of kd lang when he wrote this,('84) but it seems to fit her as if specifically created for her.

Shame Burt doesn't know the Canadian cities - imagine a foreign compare saying "You did a great job at the 2000 Melbourne olympics" LOL. Performance was fantastic, compare rubbish.

A voice like that doesn't need close mic-ing to pick it up.. that's the difference between a singer and some of today's 'talent'.

What a great singer. Hopefully she has a nice mic (AKG C535) so we can listen to her beautiful voice despite the fact that she holds it like 2 feets from her mouth.

k.d. lang has to be one of the most talented artists on the music scene today. I find her clothing simple, elegant, and a direct reflection of who she is. She is comfortable with herself and is a very genuine human being despite the way her life is always being scrutinized and commented on.
There are far too many artists who reveal too much cleavage, aging or sagging body parts that nobody needs to see, and in general show a huge lack of taste.
k.d. has talent AND taste.
