Rama's use of Solid Edge & Teamcenter (English version)

RAMAs technical office migrated from exclusively using 2D design to the 3D CAD capabilities of Siemens PLM Softwares Solid Edge CAD system. Adding Teamcenter to RAMAs design environment enabled the company to manage all of its legacy 2D machine drawings, which are controlled by Solid Edge. The Solid Edge & Teamcenter combination enabled RAMA to jump-start turnkey packaging solutions through tight and early communication across administrative, production and supplier groups. The advantages of Solid Edge and Teamcenter are clear not only in the use of the 3D virtual prototype to assess machine movement dynamics and collisions, but also in using standardized components to improve part re-use.
