I can kinda see what you are trying to do but just a few points. Female bonobos,have a very visable swelling when in full oestrus. Gorilla females do not have such visable swellings,so not sure how that fits with your gender hypothesis. Gorilla females also have quite a bit of choice in wether they stay with a silverback,it's not as controlling as it would first appear,they can quite easily transfer to another silverback. Male gorillas usually have to attract females, not coerce them.
