MIAMI (WSVN) -- If you want to be inspired, there is a group of kids who will make you want to do great things.

From a 12-year-old pilot to a young man giving out free hugs, these young people have some big ideas worth spreading.

This group of young people is proof you're never too young to do something amazing.

Joshua Glottmann: "My name is Joshua Glottmann. I'm 12 years old. I've been interested in aviation for five years, and I fly airplanes."

Birke Baehr: "I wanted to be an NFL football player. I decided I'd rather be an organic farmer instead. That way, I can have a greater impact on the world."

Joshua Williams: "I want to be able to provide food for children and adults who do not have any. I believe God gave me the purpose to help people in need."

Last night, the Cushman School hosting a "TED X Youth Day Event" at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.

Arvi Balseiro, Primary School Director, Cushman School: "TED is an international organization. It originated with people who were very passionate about sharing ideas, and in the spirit of TED, worth spreading."

Usually, adults give TED talks. But at this event, some of our most passionate youth in Miami-Dade County took the mic to inspire the audience to change the world.

Arvi Balseiro: "When I heard they were opening this up for children, I immediately applied for a license, knowing how important it is to give children that same opportunity to share their wonderful ideas."

Without note cards or a teleprompter, these kids told their personal stories about impacting the world. Some spoke about overcoming adversity at a young age.

Princianna Durosier, Victim of Bullying: "Bullying hurts. It's pain deep in one's soul. I myself have been a victim of bullying because of the appearance of my body. I have been told I'm burnt because my skin color is so dark."

Ashlyn Olson, Preemie: "Eight years ago, I was born three months early, and because of that, I was called a preemie. I went to many doctors that helped me correct my breathing problems and cardiac problems. As soon as I could talk, I began sharing my story, reaching out to parents who are scared. Reaching out to parents who are lonely."

Others inspired attitude adjustments, like 24-year-old Kemy Joseph, also known as Mr. Awesome, who reminded everyone to be kind to others.

Kemy Joseph: "Over the past few years, being kind has helped me touch thousands of lives, even save a few, including my own, which makes me living proof that being kind changes lives."

He spends every day passing out free hugs, high fives and peaceful pounds.

Kemy Joseph: "When they know it's sincere, and it just has so much love behind it, it just changes their whole day, even their whole life."

Seventeen-year-old Berenice teaches poetry to inner-city youth and believes writing can change the world.

Berenice Sylverain: "If people just took time to write and try to realize something about themselves, not only understand themselves but others around them, we would be able to combat global issues, like HIV, AIDS, poverty, healthcare, education."

Sarah Newberry is a 23-year-old sailboat racer who will be campaigning to compete in the 2016 Olympics. She says we all have it in us to do something great.

Sarah Newberry: "Inside each of us are the ingredients for making, doing and achieving incredible things. If we are determined to push that extra little bit, if we are capable of celebrating not the wins in life, but the finishes."

And if you ever thought math or science was boring, Joshua Glottmann will change your mind. This 12-year-old flies airplanes.

Joshua Glottmann: "Me, a 12-year-old with my dad white as a ghost in the back seat, going at over 100 miles per hour, in turbulence, landing an aircraft. In the end, I landed it safely. Everyone should go after their dreams. The sky's the limit."

In the end, the audience left touched and motivated.

Tammy Soffer, audience member: "I cried, and I laughed. I felt pride, joy and excitement. Looking forward to seeing what our world is going to become with these people in it."

Richard Brilliant, audience member: "The whole positive outlook on your life, to make a difference for other people, I'm going to take that away."

All these kids jump-starting a wave of life-changing ideas they hope you will pass along.

The Cushman TED X event was sold out but was live-streamed to a global audience.
