I found a part three so I thought I would post it as well. This is the pipe 30 hours later. I had stuck my finger into the salt so it doesn't show up as dark as it was when it is done, but you can see around the edges that is is even darker.

  • beautiful bulldog pipe, would you mind if i asked how much you paid for it?

  • @BTayache I think it was just over a hundred on ebay. Or maybe right at one hundred.

  • Do you think it would be safe if I used epsom salt and whiskey to clean my pipes? Thanks -Nich

  • @franksb4u If epsom salt has any kind of non salt related chemicals in it I would not use it. Lots of guys use whiskey. It adds a bit of whiskey flavor which they enjoy.

  • @SmokeRingsPipeDreams Oh okay, and thanks for the response.

  • @franksb4u You don't want residue of funky chemicals in your pipe. I don't think it would be healthy. This is why I tell folks not to use isopropyal alcohol to clean.

  • I BET YOU PUT WEED IN THERE

  • @SmokeRingsPipeDreams Yeah, I figure isopropyl would evaporate too quickly anyway.

  • @pipetech26 It all depends on the pipe and what I'm trying to clean out. But if it stays white, that would be enough I would think.

  • How many times do you have to do this treatment? Till the salt stays white or 3 times? What do you recommend?
