In partnership with FaveDiets (http://www.favediets.com/quiche ) recipe, I know I had previously made a quiche recipe video, but the video was made with older technology and the audio was harder to hear. Rather than the sausage of the original recipe, I made a pizza toppings quiche this time. The combination of the onions and peppers with the ground beef and pepperoni really go well together. I think you'll like this recipe too.

Ingredients:
1.5 pounds ground beef
1/2 small onion
1 red bell pepper
4 oz pepperoni, diced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
6 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp black pepper
8 oz Swiss cheese, shredded
Makes 8-12 servings.

  • I made this last night and it was AWESOME! I didn't have red bell pepper, so I used a half a can of rotel tomatoes, drained. I also added a pound of crispy bacon on top the beef mixture before I poured the egg mixture (7 eggs instead of 6). I was lucky my family left me a piece. Everyone loved it! My kids love it when I am doing low carb. Thanks Kent! :)

  • @lakegirl645 Another good one to try is the white castle pie. It being someone else's recipe I might not make a video on it, but it was really good over the weekend. I am glad you liked this one. :-)

  • Gotta try ths one!!!

  • @crisstalle Let me know how it turns out for you...

  • Are all the eggs in america completely white shelled? In England ours are more of a beige...complete with the odd feather or chicken poo. I hope its just that they come from a different chicken type.....I have nightmarish images of them bleaching the eggs!

  • @the7thwreck No, we have brown and white eggs readily available. Whites are much more common. I have worked on chicken farms way back when, and they are that color coming out of the bird. Some are dirty like you said, but they are washed in the egg farms but not bleached. (might be some bleach in the wash, but they are white already)

  • @mesmerizeme I completely forgot today was National Troll day, and I forgot to get you anything. You'll have to troll some place else.

  • I Just made this recipe today, I made some slight changes: Used minced lean turkey meat instead and added some pitted black olives and peperoni slices to the top before baking it, YUMMMMMMMM! Thanks for the great recipes, I love Low-carb! - Krysten x

  • @CoachU2Health But did you like it? :-)

  • I thought it was gonna be creamy cheesy but it was more like an egg muffin top

  • @tearfallzbreak That is high compliment that you are in the kitchen because of these videos. I always attribute my grandma for the reason I am in the kitchen, and she made things look effortlessly. You can imagine my pleasure being compared in my head to someone like her.

  • Mmmm.... Until i watched ur videos ive never cooked in my kitchen:) you make it so easy for me to follow along i just stuck my meal in the oven...... Thanks for thi awesome recipe!!
