  • idea: Suppose you made several band-pass filters, each at different frequency ranges to detect not only the AC ... but AC within a frequency range. Whichever NEON lights tells you the frequency. Tesla did this.

  • I guess that would work, but a spark is quite broadband in the RF it produces.

  • how about if you connect the open side of the neon to earth ground?

  • I have no idea, I had this circuit up and running a year ago, interesting question though :)

  • great job... think it would work on my setup?

    rite now im lighting a led 12ft away from my transmitter, and my transmitter isnt grounded.

    im lighting the led with a pie pan as the antenna and a ground rod ran outside to the ground. please check it out,
