We should all be students of history. We must never forget that we gave a helping hand to Bin Laden (when he fought against the Soviets) and Saddam Hussein (when he fought against Iran). Mr. Paul is also correct when he says that Iraq is an artificial state--we are trying to force democracy and paying to high a price for it. Vietnam should have been the lesson, but Iraq will be the course. Obama has proved to be more dynamic than Bush Jr., but no less mediocre.
