Every day thousands of cars are driven to and from Swedish airports. Every car holds only 1,2 persons on average which is to be compared with the Airport Coach that takes over 50. Needless to say, this makes no sense whatsoever from an environmental standpoint. To highlight this, an enormous bus was built out of 50 cars on the side of the highway to the airport. On the website, a live camera not only shows the installation 24/7 but also analyses the image and tracks each and every car going by. This data is then being used to highlight just how much emission we could save just by going by bus instead.

If one bus emits 4 times the CO2, but can carry 10 times the people. Shouldn't you still choose the bus?

well then they should also compare the potential number of seats in the cars. they could instead be advertising carpooling, couldn't they?

Very interesting, thanks for posting !
And don't forget : if you doesn't take you car, you don't need to pay the parking ticket and the fuel.
Just the bus ticket.

and the the buss ticket is double pries then your fuel cost on your car.....nice crap campaign for this under the environment name. All over the Sweden if you want to go by buss somewhere it will cost you double of price then fuel consume on a personal car

Why should they? What they're advertising is the potential of airport coaches. What they want is to fill those buses. How many people ride per bus today is irrelevant in this case.

Great example of an idea going viral and spreading to other media platforms.
Not sure about their math though. They compare cars taking an average of 1.2 people and buses taking up to 50 people? Shouldn't they use average bus passenger numbers?
