  • Two charge controllers onto a battery bank? wouldn't that damage the batteries

  • @ProtocolsMaster Ya its ok. I think the rule is, you can charge up to 10% of total amp hours

  • Hi Caveman. so can you plug in two inverters to a battery bank? I have a 240 watt solar panel with a 920AH bank of battery. My 1500 watt inverter is running everything in my house and im planning to buy a portable electrical stove which i would need another 2000 watt inverter to run the 1500 watt stove, so is it doable to hook an additional inverter to the battery??? Thanks

  • @ProtocolsMaster Yes, you can. Same with charge controllers.

  • Are you married? I think most women would go plain apeshit if all that stuff appeared in their home.....

  • @riottaba lol, ya married. She doesnt care. Its a little cleaner now.

  • Very cool, very cool. I just got my own place that came with some solar stuff, but its on the fritz so i have been looking into how to expand/replace/create my own system at very low cost. unfortunately can make batteries so that will have to be bought. thanks and keep up the good work.

  • Hey I like your vid....but you need to build some work benches!

  • @hooptejoe

u can charge lead acid batts with 0.46C (thats not coloumb)

  • Did you consider going for 24 volt system?

  • At the end of the video you showed a wind gen you took down. Why did you take that one down? Did it not work well?

  • Nice setup. I have added to my solar panel feed a pedal generator called the Pedal-A-Watt in case the sun isn't shining.

  • I'm having visions of some crazy guy lurking in the shadows on trash day. Oddly, I secretly envy him.

  • if i have 2 standard 12volt batterys connect to a wind turbine to be charged does this mean the charge controller has to be set to 24v? Also do i have to disconnect the batteries from the wind turbine in order to use their power or can i connect the power invertor up in such a way where i can use and charge at the same time. Any help would be greatly rexcieved. By the way im new to all this.

  • Do you encapsulate the solar cells with the fancy encapsulating gell? I have a couple solar panels that In use but the cost is too high. I am researching how to build my own panels. Thanks for the video!
