As a fellow player who also started around your age, and who was also inspired to new levels by SRV, I applaud your wisdom at so young an age to recognize the innate talent SRV had, and to let yourself "get lost" in it. You obviously have a good ear, and if you stick with this man as an influence, you will become a fantastic player...

I'm 15 and I've only been playing for like a year. I originally wanted to be an AC/DC style player, or a Led Zepplin style player, but then I heard the song "Texas Flood" in one of his live videos and I lost myself in the blues. SRV had something I can only strive to find. He's one of the most inspiring people to me, and one of my heroes. SRV will forever be missed.
