HappyWandy457, here we hear the result of a conductor´s mistaken view of a choir work: The melisms were not properly reahearsed separately. Phrases do not match between choir and instruments. Choir has good voices but operates unsecure due to unproper work.

OMG, hope it's the low quality record, but really the intonation's so poor! We actually made a better job with my school choir O.o! It seems like... instruments going on their own way and vocals going on another one?!
I don't find it much slow anyway... it's close to the tempo we performed it with.
Oh, and it's just a time-waste argumenting on pronunciation it's always horrible with our Italian choirs; but isn't actually the same as listening to English/German choirs singing in Latin?... ;)

Tempo is rather too slow, pronunciation is pretty bad, and the wind ensemble needs to work not only on timing, as the previous commenter said, but also on intonation. The choir could use a bit more rehearsal too, as some people don't seem to be agreeing on pitch.

A beautiful work, but showing the difficulties in performing it. Choirs and wind orchestras need time to work on the timing so as to move more convincingly together. And what is the string bass doing, instead of the tuba??
