ASU Elite 8 Quarterfinals

Chewed nails, hoarse voices, and two overtimes accompanied the Jaguars to a 106 to 104 win over Central Oklahoma University in the first round of the Elite Eight tournament in Springfield, Mass. About 150 ASU faculty, staff, students and alumni made the trip to Springfield, and their enthusiasm was matched by at least that many fourth graders in the Springfield area schools who followed the Jaguars through the Regional Tournament to the Elite Eight.
