The following film, commissioned by NHS West Midlands, presents the case for why members of the public who fall into one of the at-risk groups should get vaccinated against swine flu to protect their their families, friends and colleagues, and, of course, themselves.
GPs will be contacting their patients who fall into one of the groups identified as most at risk from swine flu to offer them the vaccine.
This includes:
People aged from six months to 65 years in current seasonal flu risk groups
All pregnant women
Young children aged between 6 months and five years
Those living with people with compromised immune systems, for example those receiving cancer treatment
People aged over 65 in the current seasonal flu risk groups
Visit www.nhs.uk for more information on swine flu.
