Bandish Bahar - Pritam Bhattacharjee - Madhuranjani - 2

Bandish Bahar is a concept of SwarGanga in an effort to promote the young and upcoming artist Shri Pritam Bhattacharjee, a disciple of Pt Jasraj. Pritam is not only a vocalist but a well appreciated composer. In this theme concert Pritam presents his own compositions. In this clip Pritam renders raag Madhuranjani, this raag is very much like Patdeep but lacks the Dhaivat all together. This is a ektaal Tarana in Madhuranjani.

Pritam came to Saylorsburg in July 2007 during Pt Jasraj School Of Music's Workshop. I did not get to listen to him, but my wife who attended the workshop said he's really very good. My wife and I enjoyed all the postings. Thanks.
