The official trailer for the hillbilly/giant monster/alien bug movie THE MILLENNIUM BUG (US-2010; dir. Kenneth Cran). Totally free of CGI monsters. Currently in post-production for a 2011 release.

Synopsis:

When the Haskin family seeks refuge from Y2K hysteria in the isolated forests of the Sierra Diablos mountains, madness and terror find them there. Abducted by a vicious hillbilly clan, the Haskins fight for survival, but neither they nor the hillbilly Crawfords can comprehend the monstrous nightmare about to erupt from the bowels of the earth.

  • when will this be out!?

  • Looks like something to watch. Wonder when it's available.

  • COOLEST MOTHER FUCKERS EVER! Met the writers and director, such nice dudes.

  • We got this at Spooky Empire and it is fantastic !!!

  • Wow.. A CGI-free horror film.. where people actually used artistic talent to make their FX as opposed to computers.... I'll see it on principle! Kudos!

  • This looks awesome! Glad there's a film out there without CGI all over it. I would totally fuck that long haired hillbilly too. Hot.

  • I dont get it, is it a movie about aliens, the hills have eyes or giant bugs

  • i love practical affects, esspecialy in horrors for example, The Thing xD

  • Piece of advice. If something is big enough to stomp your home into toothpicks.

DON'T TRY TO HIDE FROM IT IN THE FRIGGIN' HOUSE.

  • While this movie doesn't really look like my cup of tea, I fully support the use of practical effects. More movies should be done this way. CGI has been the main player in the game for far too long. It all starts to look the same after a while, like it came off of an assembly line. Kudos to the filmmakers for taking such a bold step in the right direction.
